BB Stroke – a brand-new technique for permanent eyebrow artistry, designed to provide your clients with top-quality, long-lasting, and natural-looking results.
This method combines the precise, manual approach of microblading with the traditional PMU (Permanent Makeup) machine technique. Each technique has its own advantages and disadvantages, and each produces a distinct visual effect, depending on the client’s skin type. Microblading creates exceptionally fine, full lines but cannot produce intersecting strokes. It does, however, maintain excellent color retention after healing. PMU strokes, on the other hand, allow for varying saturation levels and the possibility of overlapping hair strokes, but this gentle, micro-realistic technique requires very delicate skin. Additionally, color retention is generally shorter with PMU than with microblading.
This situation is somewhat comparable to tattooing. Micro-realistic tattoos always fade more quickly than traditional ones, even when pigment is introduced into the middle layer of the dermis. Thanks to its extremely short stroke length, the BB Pen ensures constant contact between the blade and the skin, enabling rapid creation of very fine strokes. The edges of the U-blade open the dead, toughest layer of skin, while the needles in the center of the blade press pigment into the skin, similar to how a machine works.
Since the dead layer of skin is already opened, the stroke lengths used by PMU machines—ranging from 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm—are no longer necessary. The BB Pen allows for a very quick completion of permanent eyebrow treatments and makes it possible to create intersecting hair strokes. The concept does not require liquid, easily migrating pigments, as no cartridges are used. Color retention with the BB Pen technique is comparable to, or even better than, that achieved by microblading, thanks to the possibility of depositing greater amounts of pigment.
